Hrothgar & Heshedahl at Shavasana Gallery

Although the two Norse Gods of weather – Freyr and Thor – couldn’t seem to agree upon rising, which way the day was going to turn out, by noon, Freyr – the God of fair weather and sunshine -got the upper hand and we were gifted with enough warmth and sunshine to stage a lovely outdoor musical event at Shavasana Gallery & Café.

Hrothgar is an impressive lyricist, guitar, and harmonica player and backed up by Jim Heshedahl’s solid bass, the duo did a fabulous job belting out 20+ songs from Hrothgar’s new songbook, “Hrothgar Jackson’s Songbook Volume 1” …which contains 52 original songs by Hrothgar (aka Roger Cove).

Hrothgar’s new Songbook will be available for purchase at Shavasana Gallery & Café. (Suggested retail price is $20.00 Canadian)

Stay tuned for future afternoon performances and jam sessions at Shavasana Gallery!

Music at Shavasana Café Sunday July 17

Happy to announce that Hrothgar Jackson (guitar, vocals) and Jim Heshedahl (Bass, vocals) will be playing original songs from Hrothgar’s new Songbook on Sunday July 17 from 1:30 – 3. Because we anticipate the weather to be warm & sunny, Hrothgar and Jim will be playing outside on the front porch of Shavasana Gallery & Café.

Bring a sun hat and some shades and grab a seat on the front lawn to enjoy some music from this entertaining duo!

New Exhibit! Bill Maylone’s new show “Bleeding Colours” (Acrylics) is now at Shavasana Gallery

We are pleased to offer Bill Maylone’s new collection of vibrant acrylics at Shavasana Gallery. The show is titled “Bleeding Colours” and is a colourful display of 15 pieces of Bill’s talent for abstract expressionism. The show commences July 1st and will be available – Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the month of July – come down for a coffee and a chance to see these stunning works in person!

As an added bonus, we have decided to extend Famous Empty Sky’s gorgeous collection of Multi-Media Collage work for another month. Her thoughtful blend of paint, collage, and 3-dimensional items are quite popular so the decision was made to run the show until the end of July. There is also an extensive selection of cards bearing images of her beautiful collage work from over 40 years of artistry…again, please come by if you haven’t yet had the opportunity to view her new “In Isolation” Series.

Hope to see you in July!
