Very much looking forward to the 2026 Spring Studio Tour which is being put on by Lorie Brown (Gardenia) and Lucie Walker (artist/musician) this year. Always a fun event with people coming far and wide to explore Mayne Island’s creative talents – and have a chance to look inside artist’s studios which are usually closed to the public.

It’s also a good opportunity for artist’s to show their stuff, and who knows? maybe even sell a piece of art or two.🙏

Shavasana Gallery will be open to participate again – as we have done now for the past 13 years – and, give those on tour a chance to see a variety of local works, and maybe even stop for a coffee or tea and a baked goodie.

So, please drop in! Check out local art & hang out in one of the sweetest little café galleries that the Gulf Islands has to offer!

(ps. the Aliens came and enjoyed themselves on their earthly stop-over last time I was here, and left a few apples which they are now selling at the Tru Value….they’re called “Cosmic Crisp” (for good reason) and – despite their genetic manipulation, and mass production on a factory on Mars (which explains their very red colouring) – are some of the largest, sweetest, crispest apples I’ve ever encountered…try one next time they are in stock🍎🍎👍)
